Project Description

The St. Mark Community Health Project is divided into three parts.  The first consists of a basic diagnostic, whereby members of this parish are taught to assess systematically the needs of their respective neighborhoods.  The second involves training a group of local lay community health workers who will acquire the skills necessary to educate their neighbors about breast health, improving breast health awareness, and seeking professional consultations.  And the third relates to helping community members to summon and utilize the resources necessary to have better access to the health care system.
